E. A and C. A diver with decompression sickness should lie down, remain still and breath oxygen. The classic modified Trendelenberg (head-down) position was for arterial gas embolism. Experts now discourage use of the Trendelenberg position for any diving injury. Aspirin may mask symptoms with providing corrective action. Stable divers with the bends should drink water because dehydration aggravates decompression sickness.
