The maximum no-decompression limits for dive computers are actually less than U.S. Navy dive table limits. You can a digital readout in instruments that are not dive computers. Dive computer depth readings are highly accurate, but the principal advantage of a dive computer is that nitrogen absorption is based on multi-level profiles rather than the total time at one depth.
