B. Hold the BC deflator valve open while your buddy turns off your air.

a. Disconnect the low-pressure inflator hose.
This is the best choice listed. An even better action is to hold the BC deflator up and open while disconnecting the hose. Eliminating the inflation source much safer than dealing with a lot of excess buoyancy.
